At K1 Solutions Training, we are passionate about sharing our knowledge and real world experience in high voltage (HV) operations. Whether you are new to the industry or an experienced professional seeking a refresher in HV electrical safety, we are here to support your journey with expert led, practical training.

Our trainers worked together as associates at the Uniper Training Academy at Ratcliffe on Soar, and our training is based on the Distribution Network Operators (DNO) safety rules from our new training facility in Lincoln.

The quality of training is very important to us. Our training is delivered to the highest standards, ensuring courses are informative and engaging. All courses involve practical exercises, ensuring delegates learn how carry out switching operations, understand where to fit locks and safety notices in a realistic, hands on environment using our 6 outdoor covered substations. Our courses support the needs of ICPs when building private network installations.

Our trainers bring a combined 140 years of operational high voltage experience, gained from careers in both DNOs and industrial backgrounds. We have worked in many different sectors, including BESS, Solar, various generation schemes and Private Wire distribution.

The K1-Solutions Training team has 10 years experience working on National Grid Transmission systems, managing cross boundary projects and operations for clients connecting to the transmission network up to 400kV. Additionally, we provide engineering and management for grid code compliance when customers are planning and developing new connections with NGET and NESO, as well as acting as Authorising Engineers or Assessing Officers for NERS and private networks.

Location

Our training centre is located at Lindum Business Park in North Hykeham, near Lincoln. This facility is equipped to deliver a wide range of electrical safety training courses, featuring various types of high voltage switchgear. These resources allow delegates to gain practical, hands on experience in safe switching operations.
